Feeling Artsy

Sparrow feeling ArTsy

This spring, we have decorated our window with an artist theme. We've sprinkled paintbrushes, artist pallets, vintage artist supplies, and more throughout the store as part of the artist theme. This month, you'll find new spring and garden decor, clothing and accessories - take a look!

"Where's Aldo" Public Art Bench

We are teaming up with Elgin Knit Works to participate in the public art bench project "Where's Aldo?"

Aldo Leopold benches will be painted by area businesses and organizations to be displayed throughout the community this June. Local artists will decorate the benches, modeled after the wooden bench built by environmentalist Aldo Leopold (1887-1947) for his Wisconsin farm.

A "before" photo of the bench - art coming soon!
Passports will be available to the public at the Gail Borden Library to help find all find all of the benches, and the completed passport can be turned back in for a chance to win prizes.

For more information, visit the event page or like Where's Aldo on Facebook.
